Antquarium is an elegantly curved clear plastic tank containing cool blue gel; it is based on a product developed by NASA who wanted to see how ants would cope in micro-gravity. The gel provides nutrients and water for the ants as well as being a tunnelling medium. The result is a stylish desk-top conversation piece and a fascinating project for the young and curious. Magnifying glasses for closer inspection are provided although you will have to collect your own ants!
