Developed with the London Science Museum, the X-zylo launcher propels ultralight-weight rings (X-zylos) over 100m.
For those who are interested in the ‘science bit’, the key to the X-zylo’s remarkably long flight is its spin which produces a gyroscopic effect that stabilises the angle of flight. Experiments in line with the National Curriculum can be carried out to explore the scientific principles and, of course, it’s all great fun.
The X-zylos can also be safely thrown and caught, and two people with launchers can practise catching the X-zylos on the launcher’s handle.
