Anyone can make music! This delightful metal-stringed wooden instrument comes from Russia. It has been around for a long time, and is probably best known as a cymbala. It is played by plucking with the fingers or the plastic plectrum provided. Excellent music can be made, and the marvel of it is that it can be played immediately, even by quite young children, without knowledge or experience because it comes with specially-prepared tune sheets of varying complexity, from Rock-A-Bye-Baby to Bach. These sheets are positioned on the baseboard under the strings, after which the tune can be played simply by plucking the strings in the correct order as indicated by the route taken by the printed notes, an acceptable rendering being achievable almost immediately. Detailed instructions are provided, including for tuning, for which a spanner is supplied. Includes 5 double-sided music sheets and a spare string. It is just under 38cm in width.
