Folklore tells us that this kind of little 5cm terracotta figure was given to children in the German Black Forest when they left home. The Guardian Angel was said to watch over them and bring them luck, and the tradition continues. 7/5/2008: These guardian angels are lovely gifts I brought my mum one of these cute angels when she went for her heart operation in 2001 and she loved the angel was watching over her and came through the operation it meant a lot to her all though she lost her battle with cancer in 2007 one of her wishes was to be cremated with this angel to watch over her
