Eat the same food Nasa Astronauts eat on space missions. The foil sachets contain freeze dried ice-cream which last almost indefinitely, making it suitable for long space flights.

As they are eaten, saliva in the mouth re-hydrates the ultra-light chunks, returning them to their original state. (Warm ice cream is particularly strange.)

11/8/2008: It is lovely. If you put it in your mouth it really melts and goes all over your tongue. It is like warm ice-cream but not really melty. YAY go NASA

7/25/2008: The ice-cream is amazing! It has a texture somewhat like chalk, not that I have eaten chalk of course, however when you hold it in your mouth for a while it regains back that ice-creamy texture that we all love! Me and my friends went for a long walk in the winter. We stopped in a small village dying for an ice-cream; however, sadly there was no sign of an ice-cream truck - which would make sense, seeing as it was winter. Fortunately, I had secretly brought my freeze-dried ice-cream along in my rucksack. It lit everyone’s faces up and gave us the boost that we needed to make it home. Thank you NASA boffins, I don’t know what we would have done without this amazing technology on our expedition.

7/14/2008: I really like the sound of this product; I haven’t tried it yet would love to soon. It gives a good idea of what the astronaut’s eat. Clever idea.
