Ancient volcanic rocks from Mexico, that when cracked open reveal beautiful glittering crystals

These fascinating rocks are formed as bubbles in volcanic lava cool down and harden. Trapped inside is silica containing dissolved minerals which, over the course of thousands of years, form into layers of beautiful glittering crystals. The colour of the crystals varies depending on the mineral content but ours are mostly clear or milky-white. We can’t guarantee that every geode contains crystals but 90% do, so you should be lucky with at least two out of the pack of three.The best way to see what is inside is to crack open the geode by placing it in an old sock and tapping it gently with a hammer. Geodes are found in many areas of the world; ours come from Mexico and are approximately 5cm in diameter. Beautiful, intriguing and will last forever!
