The origins of Swinging Poi have been traced to the native New Zealand Maori and is rapidly increasing in popularity amongst jugglers and performers. The technique involves swinging a weighted fabric ball with a long ribbon tail, in each hand, through a convoluted sequence of basic swings which are easy to master and look surprisingly effective.
