Chain making is a compulsive activity to entertain a wide age range, and a pack in almost anyone's stocking (or earlier) should buy several minutes of peace and yield a satisfying reward. The standard pack contains 72 strips of paper, fully gummed on one side, to make over six metres of chain. The metallic version (07037) includes 36 strips, in six glistening colours making nearly three metres of chain.

7/7/2008: For me this is what Hawkins Bazaar is all about – Nostalgia – seeing this product took me straight back to my childhood, long before readymade decorations. We would sit around the dining room table & make up the paper chains - they didn't have gummed edges in my early days - we used a pot of paste & us kids got it everywhere, but we were so excited when mum & dad would put up a chain that we had made. Go on try it, & bring even more fun & laughter into the run up to your Christmas festivities.
