Add a little water to a scoop of the special snow powder and it immediately expands 100 times its original volume, into a mass of fluffy white flakes. The reaction is instantaneous and with regular top ups spraying the snow can last for months. It's soft and dry to touch, or it can be placed in the freezer for a cold realistic feel. It can even be left to dry out and reused.

11/5/2008: This fun fake snow is just amazing stuff, really easy to make. We put it on and around the plate that Santa's mince pie and Rudolph's carrot was on....and on Crimbo morning, our daughter was so shocked to see 'real' snow that Santa had left when he ate the mince pie, she played with it more than all her presents! I've also placed it in the freezer a few days later (it keeps for ages) and then placed it on the dinner table as our guests arrived....ta da! Real, COLD snow...a wonderful talking point.
