Brand new and totally original - it’s very unlikely you will have seen anything like this elsewhere. The visual effect is 3D - impossible to replicate on a flat page, but they really are very good - please read on and we will try to explain. The pictures are large, each measuring 65x30cm and each is formed from three convex card panels. The illusion tricks the eye by placing smaller graphics closer to the viewer and larger graphics farther away (the opposite to what our brain expects). It may sound simple, apparently it’s not easy to achieve, but the resulting effect is completely unexpected and unlike anything you are likely to have experienced before. Not only do you get a sudden sense of depth (in the reverse direction to which you might expect), but the real magic is when the image appears to move, rotating and changing perspective in line with the smallest movement of your head. It’s strange and even slightly unnerving as the brain simply makes up something that doesn’t exist, to cope with what it can’t understand. Although rarely seen, the technique (known as reverse perspective) is not completely new - artists such as Patrick Hughes have been working with it since the 60s. Unfortunately, the average Hughes painting sells for £40,000! This is the first time a piece of art using the technique is available, at an affordable price, to anyone who is intrigued by such visual curiosities or would like to give them as an unusual gift - they would make a unique conversation piece in any home or work place. Each picture simply slots together with poster holders provided. Convinced? If not, please trust us – you won’t be disappointed. LONDON MOVING EYE ILLUSION Brings the famous landmarks of London to life, the illusion gives the architecture depth and almost a sense of looking through a window into reality. 65cm HA-10202 - £9.99 TRICK OF THE EYE ILLUSION The design is based on, and includes, two classic optical illusions: the Café Wall Illusion (parallel lines look bent in what looks like a chess board) and the Hermann Grid Illusion (spots flash in the corner of the grids). You might need to sit down after staring at this one for a few minutes! 65cm HA-10203 - £9.99 See our website to watch a video demonstrating the effect.
