A delightful metal-stringed wooden instrument originally from Russia. It has been around for a long time in many variations, and is probably best known as a cymbalo. It is played by plucking with the fingers or the plastic plectrum provided. Excellent music can be made, and the marvel is that it can be played immediately, even by quite young children, without knowledge or experience because it comes with specially-prepared tune-sheets, including ‘Row Your Boat’ and ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’. These sheets are positioned on the baseboard under the strings, after which the tune is played simply by plucking the strings in the order indicated by the printed notes, an acceptable rendering being achievable almost immediately. Detailed instructions are provided. A spanner is supplied for tuning. 38cm wide
